Kassandrino is a quiet, traditional village in inland Kassandra, ideal for visitors wishing to discover the peninsula’s authentic side beyond its major seaside resorts. Set in a rural landscape of olive groves, gentle hills and small cultivated fields, the village retains a down-to-earth local character, with a slower pace of life and a strong sense of community. It offers a base for those seeking tranquillity, local identity and easy access to the beaches of southwestern Kassandra.

The settlement has a long history, with the area inhabited since ancient and Byzantine times. The village was destroyed in 1821 and rebuilt by its residents upon their return, giving it a sense of continuity and resilience. Today, Kassandrino remains closely connected to farming and everyday life in Kassandra’s interior, while also serving as a convenient starting point for trips to Mola Kalyva, Nea Skioni, Fourka, Siviri and Possidi. Its location makes it particularly appealing for a quieter stay, with beaches, dining and the area’s summer experiences still within easy reach.

Travellers staying in or passing through Kassandrino will discover a place whose appeal lies in its genuine village atmosphere. Here, Halkidiki reveals itself through its flavours, small businesses, local products and the village’s connection to the land, as well as through the sea. This makes Kassandrino particularly well suited to those seeking a gentler pace of holiday, authenticity, easy day trips and a chance to discover the inland character of Kassandra.
