Welcome to the official gateway to quality holiday rooms, apartments, and authentic hospitality in Halkidiki & East Thessaloniki, Greece.
Kassandreia, formerly known as Valta, is the historic and administrative capital of the Kassandra peninsula in Halkidiki. Located inland, a short distance from popular seaside destinations, it serves as the main administrative and commercial centre for the entire area.
The settlement has a long history, closely linked to Kassandra’s development since the Ottoman period, when it served as an important agricultural and administrative centre. Over time, it grew into a well-established town, now home to numerous public services, educational facilities and businesses serving both residents and visitors to the peninsula.
Kassandreia lies at an altitude of approximately 90 metres and offers easy access to all the tourist destinations of western Halkidiki, including Kallithea, Afytos, Polychrono, Pefkochori and Hanioti. This makes it an important stopping point for visitors exploring the area.
