Kalyves Polygyrou lies on the western side of the Toroneos Gulf and is one of the best-known seaside villages in central Halkidiki. The area combines easy access from Thessaloniki with a long sandy beach offering organised facilities and stretching for several kilometres along the coastline.

The village has developed primarily in recent years as a holiday destination, offering hotels, rooms to let and holiday homes that welcome visitors from Greece and abroad. Kalyves beach is known for its shallow, clear waters, making it an ideal choice for families.

The area has restaurants, tavernas, cafés and shops catering to visitors’ needs. Local cuisine centres on fresh fish, seafood and traditional Macedonian recipes.

Kalyves also makes an excellent base for exploring Halkidiki, situated between the region’s two major peninsulas, Kassandra and Sithonia.
