Useful Guidelines
Vourvourou Bay is one of the most accessible and versatile natural sea landscapes in Sithonia. It is reached by road along the eastern side of the peninsula, following the main coastal route through settlements such as Nikiti and then continuing toward Vourvourou. Because the bay lies directly beside one of Sithonia’s best-known coastal bases, access is very practical for both visitors staying locally and travellers exploring the area by car. Reaching the shoreline or sea-activity points is generally straightforward, with multiple local access options depending on whether the goal is swimming, kayaking, short boat rental or simply enjoying the scenery. Vourvourou is especially convenient because it functions both as a landscape in itself and as a gateway to nearby marine highlights such as Diaporos and the small island complex beyond. This means the “getting here” experience often continues after arrival, especially for visitors who rent a small boat or join a coastal excursion.
