Useful Guidelines
Porto Koufo is situated in southern Sithonia and is one of the easiest major bay landscapes to reach by road. Visitors typically arrive by following the peninsula’s main route southward through Neos Marmaras, Toroni or nearby villages, depending on their starting point. The bay is connected to the local road network and does not require a difficult final approach, which makes it practical for day trips, scenic stops and meals by the harbour as well as for longer stays in the surrounding area. Unlike hidden beaches that need a more natural access route, Porto Koufo is approached through a lived-in coastal setting, where the transition from road to landscape is smooth and direct. This accessibility is one of its strengths: even though the bay feels dramatic and enclosed, it remains easy to include in a wider southern Sithonia itinerary. Visitors can combine the destination with nearby beaches such as Toroni or Tristinika, or use Porto Koufo as a departure point for marine exploration and small boat activities.
