Useful Guidelines
Alykes Beach is located on Ammouliani Island, which means that getting there includes both a mainland and an island stage. Most visitors first travel by road to the port area of Tripiti, in the Mount Athos side of Halkidiki, where the local ferry connection to Ammouliani operates regularly during the season. After the short crossing to the island, the beach is reached by local road, usually by car, motorbike or short taxi transfer depending on the visitor’s travel style. Once on Ammouliani, Alykes is one of the island’s best-known and most accessible beach destinations, so the final approach is relatively easy compared with more hidden marine landscapes. This makes it an excellent option for travellers who want an island experience without complicated logistics. Visitors coming from Ouranoupolis, Ierissos or the eastern coast of Halkidiki often include Alykes as part of a full-day island outing. The most practical approach is to organise timing around the ferry schedule and arrive with enough flexibility during high season, when both ferries and beach areas are busier.
